The Unwritten Rules of Living in Illinois

It's true in every state, if you live there long enough, there is a set of unwritten rules by which you live your life.

The Unwritten Rules of Living in Illinois

1. If you don't like the weather here, wait 5 minutes and it will likely change.

2. We don't get happy when the snow flies but we do know how to drive in it.

3. Keep an ice scraper in your car always. Probably wouldn't hurt to see a shovel in your trunk too.

4. When Summer hits, we hit our state parks.

5. We will always exist with billions of Box Elder bugs.

6. Chicago is absolutely nothing like the rest of the state.
