Illinois people who are looking for jobs are getting extreme.

That is if you're a fan of Extreme Couponing.

Because for some reason or another, Couponing is the #1 weirdest thing Illinois people are putting on their resume.

How in the world does Couponing come up on a resume you ask?

Well, Zippia searched over 3,000,000 resumes across the US and looked at the "additional interests" section and found that among all the other weird stuff people get into "couponing" took the top spot.

I get it, we're in the middle of a pandemic so people are tightening belts and are aware of product costs maybe now more than ever. So it makes sense, but couponing? It sounds like a hobby, you know, like reading or sewing. By the way, those are both totally OK to add to a resume.

Couponing is a weird one though. If you don't believe me, there's a whole host of websites devoted to the art of couponing. I mean, one of the most popular websites is krazycouponlady.com.

I certainly don't want to stand in your way of doing what you love, be frugal, coupon until your heart's content, but please, keep it off your resume.
