This Illinois Man is an Elfin’ Creative Christmas Genius
When the Elf on the Shelf arrives, you feel good about your ideas until you quickly run out and hope to find ideas like these. These are incredibly fun.
When I came across a couple of this Andy's photos of his Elf on the Shelf creations, I immediately sent off a compliment. He then shared many more photos with me that will make your jaw hit the floor.
The Most Creative Elf on the Shelf Scenarios I've Ever Seen
With a creative spirit and a strong drive to make his children happy at Christmas time, Andy has elevated the Elf game to heights most of us could never reach, even if we started working on ideas around Halloween.

Let's meet the elves.
(L to R) Michael, Sugar Plum, Joe, and Dave. The baby elf is Jeff Jeff
One of the most important things Andy shared with me...
"I highly recommend you purchase what I fondly call 'the stunt elf""
How did 'Joe the Stunt Elf' come to be?
"I just happened to find another one in the clearance aisle at Walmart after Christmas about 5 years ago. I bought it with absolutely no plan. I just figured at some point I might need an elf I could dismember."
It wasn't 'Elf on the Shelf' on this particular morning, it was 'Shelf on the Elf'
Andy's kids (and Andy too) are big Superhero movie fans, so you'll see a lot of scenes that use figurines from the movies
Like this next one,
"I could simply snap my fingers. They would all cease to exist."
This one made his boys cry A LOT!
Some elf disguises were used so they could blend in with other holiday decorations
A little Minecraft
Mr. Freeze struck in the bathroom.
"DAD! The elves brought my toys to life and Mr. Freeze FROZE MY ELF!!"
That stunt elf is back to work. The kids wondered just how long his neck is.
Some WWE mayhem
"Why so serious?"
An ode to Star Wars and Han Solo.
"I'm sad to report that Joe is frozen in Carbonite... I told him not to borrow gum drops from Jabba the Hut. Did he listen???
(Side note... two days worth of prep went into this one. Thank you to my stunt elf!)"
This last one is my absolute favorite. Andy said this one blew his boys' minds.
I know you're never supposed to ask a magician how they performed their 'trick', but I had to know how he got the elf in that bottle.
Precision x-acto blade work.
