I've been in the Rockford area for quite a while and I've never heard of this urban legend before.

However, the website Mysterious Heartland listed this Rockford urban legend as "One of the Top 10 Tales of Witchcraft in Illinois."

I mean, I've heard of The Phantom Lady of Kennedy Hill but I've never heard of Beulah the Meridian Witch.

According to the post, "Beulah was rumored to have lived along Meridian Road west of Rockford, Illinois during the 1960s and ‘70s."

The story says that Beulah got her "powers" due to an accident at a young age. There is also mention of a couple of teens having gone missing while searching for Beulah.

Obviously, there are disputes regarding the urban legend of Beulah, the Meridian Witch.

A post on Ghosts of America from user Ron, says "Beulah was a resident at a nursing home back in 1980 when I was employed there. She suffered from dementia at that time but prior to that she was a nice lonely old woman who was harassed relentlessly by idiot teenagers. It's a shame and I always felt sorry for her."

Have you heard about this urban legend before? Do you believe in Beulah the Meridian Witch? If so, where's the house? Let us know!
