Great News Kids, Toys R Us Is Coming Back To Rockford, Illinois

I didn't think it was actually possible but Toys R Us is returning to Rockford, Illinois.

It Was An End To A Toy Shopping Era

One of my favorite things to do as a kid was going to Toys R Us. I could spend hours in the store walking up and down the aisles checking out all the fun items. Every Sunday I kept the ad out of the newspaper to start making my wishlist. I would save my money for my next visit to see Geoffrey The Giraffe and his friends. As an adult, I looked forward to taking my daughter there. I was sad when my favorite chain went out of business. It was the end of an era with so many great memories.

Great News Kids, Toys R Us Is Coming Back

I heard the rumors but no way I thought it was possible. Toys R Us is coming back including here in Rockford. The iconic store will be reopening in all the Macy's stores. Luckily, we've got one at CherryVale Mall. I'm so excited. The rebirth is happening from October 15th through October 23rd with very special events including giveaways and fun for the whole family. I can't wait to shop there for the holidays.

More Good News About Toys R Us And Macy's

Toys R Us will be opening flagship stores inside Macy's stores in big cities including Chicago. This might have me even more excited. As a child, every year my family would go downtown Chicago to get ready for the holidays. One of our regular stops was at Marshall Field's on State Street (now Macy's). They had an amazing toy department. It's going to be awesome to see it return to action.
