Illinois Ranks Top Of List As ‘Most Fun State’ In America

Illinois ranked high as one of the most fun states in the country, based on nightlife, entertainment, and recreation.

Personally, if I was planning on moving anywhere in the country I would make sure there'd be a considerable amount of things to do around my area.  I definitely wouldn't be able to live in a small town that has just a gas station, a few grocery stores, and a bar because I'd get so bored.

Luckily, I live in a town with a population of 150,000 so there's always something to do all over the city!  Honestly, who would want to live somewhere where there's nothing to do, ever?

WalletHub compared entertainment, recreation, and nightlife across all 50 states to find which states are the "most fun" to live in.

Just take a wild guess at what made #1?  Yup, California.  That's why I loveee going there for vacation, red carpet premieres, festivals, sightseeing, markets, and nightlife!

According to WalletHub, California has the most restaurants, movie theaters, and fitness centers (per capita).

At #2: Florida.  Well duh! There's Disney World, Universal, Gatorland, Amusement Parks, beaches, the ocean...

"The state ranked second in entertainment and recreation and 11th in nightlife."

 

#3: Nevada.  They def ranked high in the "nightlife" category.  How could they not?

"Nevada came in first for its number of state and local expenditures on parks and recreation."

 

#4: New York.  If you love Broadway then you'll have a fun time here!

"Empire State has the most performing arts theaters per capita"

 

Illinois Ranks #5 As 'Most Fun State' In America

Ah, at #5 Illinois takes the crown.  With all of our museums, hiking trails, famous landmarks like CloudGate and Navy Pier, zoos, baseball fields, and more, I'm glad we made the top of the list - well deserved spot.
