President Trump believes former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich was treated very unfairly and is considering reducing his prison sentence.

At one point Trump considered a pardon, but Wednesday, he made a strong move in a different direction. While aboard Air Force One, he told reporters that he is seriously considering commuting the former governor’s sentence, according to nbcchicago.com.

During Trump's 45-minute chat with reporters, he said:

“I thought he was treated unbelievably unfairly. He was given close to 18 years in prison. And a lot of people thought it was unfair, like a lot of others things, and it was the same gang, the Comey gang and all these sleazebags that did it. You have drug dealers that get not even 30 days and they’ve killed 25 people. They put him in jail for 18 years.”
