I know many of you were glued to "The Walking Dead" last night, and I heard from a bunch of people, including Sweet Lenny, that it was pretty amazing. So you may have missed the special on CBS, "The Night That Changed America, a Grammy Salute to the Beatles."

Here's my recap, so you know what you can fast forward to if you DVR-ed it.

Let's start by saying the best parts of the entire special were actually not musical at all, but instead the snippets of Paul & Ringo talking with David Letterman at the actual theatre that they performed at 50 years ago. It was very cool to hear them take a mental trip back in time.

Maroon 5 performed twice and I thought they were a fun choice for "Ticket to Ride", nothing too amazing, very cover band-ish. Which resulted in my dad thinking that Adam Levine & company were, in fact, a Beatles cover band.

Katy Perry performed in another kimono-esque dress, which I suppose makes sense since this was taped after the actual Grammy's but I think she might want to retire that look. Her performance was definitely not my favorite. I might even prefer Jimmy Fallon & Paul McCartney's "Scrambled Eggs", to Katy's "Yesterday".

Katy's boyfriend, John Mayer, made an appearance too, he was pretty good in a duet with Keith Urban. They performed "Don't Let Me Down". Musically, I liked it, visually I couldn't get past John's Justin Bieber look, or maybe he was wearing pajamas. I really couldn't tell.

Pharrell and his Arby's hat returned with "Here Comes the Sun", meh, not my favorite, but you should be sure to catch Stevie Wonder singing "We Can Work it Out."

Paul and Ringo spent the last 45 minutes giving the audience exactly what they wanted, a concert that was as close to seeing the Beatles as possible. I loved it, and I wasn't the only one. Yoko Ono showed us some dance party moves I've never seen. Paul's latest wife also made sure the entire audience knew she memorized all of their songs that were popular possibly before she was born.

Anna Kendrick was there, dressed like a yellow submarine, and Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson were in the front row really enjoying themselves.

Missing from the night? Julian Lennon, that would've been a nice addition during "Hey Jude." Also, I mean I wouldn't have been upset if Paul started singing "Michelle my Belle."

Did you watch it? What did you think?
