Two of America’s ‘Oddest Homes’ Are in Illinois

It's the Halloween season so I figured today would be a good day to highlight a few cribs that are considered some of the "oddest" in the state.

According to Fox News these two places are among the weirdest places in America and up until recently you could have actually made these spots yours because they were both for sale.

The first one on the list of odd homes in Illinois isn't spooky but more strange than anything else.

Say hello to Deerfield's very own "Skinny House" and it comes by its name honestly. Check out these dimensions:

Such a crazy concept but it works because this house was on the market in 2021 and sold for just about $300K.

So while the Skinny House is odd the Goth Home is creeptastic.

There is an octagonal home that has an all-black interior and exterior in Lincoln, Illinois. The striking home was nicknamed the "Goth Home" in December 2021 by Zillow Gone Wild, a multi-platform social media account that shares unusual real estate listings.

This place was just sold on Zillow early this year for a cool $315K and it seems to be worth every penny.

Sizewise, Goth Home is much larger than Skinny House but you've got to deal with the aesthetics of the place.

As in, everything at Goth Home is black, and just about everything in the home is black too.

So while we're more likely to take the Goth pad as our place strictly based on the size which of the two would you rather like to call home?
