Last week at Friday Night Flix I met a couple of kids that asked for my autograph (shocking as that is) and to nobody's surprise, I didn't have a pen.

I told the both of them, "sorry I don't have a pen, but you two can stop by the radio station sometime and I'll hook you up with some stickers and t-shirts."

This Monday, they showed up.

I did what I told them I would, I gave them stickers and t-shirts as promised.

I also hung out with them for a few. The two boys (who couldn't be more than 10-years-old) were named Vernon and Andrew. After a while I had to get back to the studio but before I left Vernon handed me an envelope and told me he wrote a comic. He also asked if I could read it and share it sometime. I told him I'd love to. Here is Vernon's comic.

"Boys of Steel"

I loved it. Vernon and Andrew made sure to let me know that Boys of Steel are normally referred to as B.O.S. (like "boss").

Thanks to you both for sharing your comic superhero origin story!
