If you're going to propose marriage you might want to make sure that you're going to go through with it.

Thankfully, Chicagoan Josh Schmitz had an entire year to practice before he actually popped the question.

You see, Schmitz recorded himself everyday asking his girlfriend to marry him via a erasable white board.

Schmitz would write different things on the board but they all pretty much said the same thing, "will you marry me."

It's a cool idea, but man, that's a twenty minute video. I skipped toward the end to see if she would say "yes" and I didn't get the answer I wanted.

However, according to WGN, "Schmitz proposed to his girlfriend Danielle Roesch Friday near Adler Planetarium, but it was the lead-up that had 'grown men crying,' he said."

Like I said, cool idea. It's just a really long video. The first true test of their commitment to each other would be the girlfriend sitting through the whole thing.

Anyway, congrats to the happy couple.
