We Might Be Able to See the Northern Lights in Rockford Tonight

I know it's your fantasy football draft night, but take your phone outside because while you're waiting for your turn, you might be able to catch the Northern Lights.

Without trying to get gushy... because I'm not gushy, I swear... I feel like things like the solar eclipse or a chance to witness the Northern Lights is what we need as a people during times like these.

Let's face it. There are terrible things happening in the world right now. Natural disasters, terrorist attacks and tons and tons of political arguing.

So let's take tonight and stare in the sky.

According to DNAinfo, the Northern lights may be visible because of a 'geomagnetic storm.'

The chance will continue tomorrow night as well, so if you have to be inside trying to get Tom Brady on your fantasy team, at least make plans to head outside, with a jacket, tomorrow night.
