Did you know that former Man V. Food host Adam Richman used to fast for one day before competing in a food challenge?

He completed what has been dubbed as Illinois' Wildest Food Challenge" by Mashed.

You might skip a meal or two before trying this insane sandwich challenge.

Lucky's Sandwich Company offers something genuinely unique: the Deli Sandwich Challenge.

Mashed says you create three one 1/2-pound, overstuffed sandwiches. You choose from various slices of meat, add tomato, cheese, coleslaw, and fries, and they are smashed between "generous slices of French bread."

Having attempted a couple of different food challenges, the 'generous slices' of bread always get me. The sheer size of the sandwiches at Lucky's is a challenge, but the combination of flavors and textures makes it a challenge worth undertaking.

Truthfully, I am unsure if that is something I can do, but it sounds doable for some, like one TripAdvisor guy who boasted he "did the challenge in the same time it took the wife to eat her one sandwich, 17 mins if I remember rightly."

Most of the reviews of Lucky's on TripAdvisor mention the proximity to Wrigley Field as a primary reason they ate there. In contrast, others bemoan the state of the bathrooms and the quality of the ingredients in the sandwiches.

Lucky's Sandwich Company is located at 3472 North Clark Street in Chicago.
