If we were all in school, this would be a grade we'd be scared to bring home to our parents. We'd probably wish we had tried harder to do better. And that's what we need to do right now. But it's not for a test, it's for saving lives.

I get it. Social distancing SUCKS. There, I said it. It's not fun, but you know what, I'm doing it.

But apparently a lot of people in Winnebago County are not.  WTVO details -

According to location data and analytics firm Unacast, Illinoisans aren’t staying home during the coronavirus pandemic, as the state’s overall score dropped to a ‘D’.

Illinois got an ‘A’ for a 40% drop in distance traveled on March 25th.

So what's Winnebago County's score compared to everyone else? According to WTVO -

In our region, Winnebago’s ‘F’ is the worst.

According to the data, residents scored a less than 40% decrease in encounters with other people, compared to the national baseline.

The scores are tracked anonymously by cell phone data. You can read more about how they track here.

Like I said, let's not get an 'F' we're ashamed of. Let's get an 'A' we're proud of.

Stay home and stay safe.
