Wisconsin Hole-in-the-Wall Named One of America’s Best For BBQ

Wisconsin isn't exactly known as a hot spot for delicious barbecue but that may have to change.

I saw this entry for a Wisconsin restaurant on LoveFood's list of Your State's Very Best Barbecue Restaurant Revealed shared by MSN.

After taking a look at a couple of pics of the food on their Yelp page, I was sold and in total agreement.

As in, I need to get up to West Allis as soon as possible.

This is the second time in a week that food has been profiled from this town just outside of Milwaukee.

If the restaurants in this area keep it up we're going to be talking about West Allis as a foodie destination very soon.

So while Big Deal Burgers & Custard serve up some of the zaniest flavors of ice cream in America, Double B's is smoking up Wisconsin's best barbecue.

Run by a husband-and-wife team, Double B’s BBQ is a local favorite for barbecue plates featuring ultra-meaty baby back ribs and St. Louis spare ribs (spare ribs with the tough cartilage trimmed) rubbed with seasoning and smoked over a hickory fire pit. They’re served dry with sauce on the side, so you can try the flavor first before covering them in it – a true sign of great cooking.

People who have been to Double B's tend to really like the place. It's a 4.5 out of 5 on Yelp and AnnaMarie A. said "If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I wouldn't hesitate. An absolute MUST if you are in Metro area Wisconsin."

Ophelia M. called Double B's "a hole in the wall sort of joint" but called the food "delicious." however, Sarah D. mentioned, "I wanted to be wowed by this place but just didn't do anything for me."
