You know I like a good plate of BBQ, and this place might just be worth the visit.

That's because Fast Food Club just pointed this place out to other Illinois residents who may have missed it, and me.

Located in the Chicago suburbs and called a "hidden gem" in the article, Gemato's Wood Pit BBQ looks like the real deal.

A Chicago Suburb Hidden Gem Gets National Praise

Personally, I'm down to check out anything that gets this kind of praise heaped on it. Apparently, Gemato's has over 2,400 reviews and is still maintaining a 4.4-star rating, so you know it's solid.

On the menu at Gemato's, there's exactly what you'd expect at a BBQ joint like:

  • Pulled pork
  • Brisket sandwiches
  • Baby back ribs
  • Beef ribs
  • Hot links

Gemato's also has gyros, Philly cheesesteaks, chicken kebabs, and baked beans that are so good they qualify as more than just "something on the side."

Massive Customer Love: Maintaining a 4.4-Star Rating

The prices aren't bad either; for example, a pulled pork sandwich, weighing in at a hefty half pound, costs just $11.

Regardless, the next time I'm in need of ribs or any kind of BBQ, I'm finding this place. You can look all over for a good BBQ restaurant and come up with your pockets drained and disappointed.

The only problem is, it's not exactly next door for us living in the Rockford area, but to me, it's worth the trek. Gemato's BBQ is located at 1566 West Ogden Avenue in Naperville.
