Taste The Magic: Celebrating 100 Years Of Original Cream Puffs

You heard this year's Wisconsin State Fair is the 100 year celebration of the Original Cream Puff right? And that they're celebrating with special flavors? But did you know that the most special flavor is only available for one day!

What a time to be alive really. But I mean it. In the crazy world we live in, where we can text/call/post/chat all over the world at any time and our lives are incredibly busy and well, overwhelming... isn't something like a cream puff the exact thing we need to chill out for five minutes and just enjoy life?

Now. If this was prior to yesterday, I wouldn't have this opinion.

Until Thursday, August 1, 2024, I didn't think cream puffs were all that delicious. Two, maybe three times in my Rockford career world, cream puffs had arrived at the station, I cried them and though, what's the hype? These aren't life changing, I'm not even sure if I thought they were good?

Then everything changed.

Because for the first time, I went to the Wisconsin State Fair.

And I knew I had to give those cream puffs one more chance to show me what they got.

And they did.

The Original Cream Puffs at the Wisconsin State Fair are a solid 10/10. They were creamy, soft, pillowy and perfectly cold. Not too cold, but chilled to perfection.

This makes complete sense. Whild cream puffs look great no matter where you bring them, there is no way such a delicate puff could travel 75 miles to Rockford and stay delicious.

I'm so glad I gave them another try, but now I'm stressed out because I think I need another one.

And I really want to try the chocolate birthday cake cream puff, but they're only offering that one on Saturday August 10 - and only until they sell out!

What are your thoughts on this year's cream puff flavors? Will you try them? Or stick to the original?
