A picture of a woman in an Old Navy dressing room has gone viral; but not for the reason you think.

Rachel Taylor was shopping at an Old Navy store for an outfit for the holiday weekend when she overheard a mom and her teen daughter having a discussion about a patriotic tank top. The daughter said, "Look! Me and So-and-so can fit in this tank top!" Her mom laughed and said, "Yeah, you could! That thing is huge!" Taylor immediately left the store with her husband in tears; but she didn't leave. What she did next was nothing short of amazing. She built up the courage to go back into the store and she was on a mission - to finish her shopping and get that tank top. That's when she posted this on Old Navy's Facebook page:

Old Navy, thank you for having adorable clothes for all shapes & sizes. I'd like to tell you the story behind this tank...

As someone who's struggled with their weight for the last four years I know how hard it can be to overhear others making fun of people for their size. Is there a chance that the mother and daughter weren't speaking directly to or about her? Sure, but what kind of lesson is this mother teaching her daughter by making fun of larger women.

I'm so proud of Rachel and I'm so happy that she was able to get up the strength to go back into that store and prove that when you look that fierce, no one can bring you down...and in a dressing room mirror no less. The dressing room is one of the most awful places on earth, if you ask me. Depending on the day, a dressing room can be your worst nightmare or your best friend. Not only have I cried in dressing rooms before, but I've left stores in tears just like Rachel; I just didn't have the courage to go back in and buy what I liked anyway, simply because I liked it. For any of us who struggle with body image, we can learn a lot from this fierce chick - positivity always wins.
