Women Are Selling Bodily Fluids To Pay For Christmas Gifts
People will do anything to make a quick buck this holiday season.
According to a recent poll, one third of moms and dads will be working overtime to pay for presents this year; but one mom has found a quicker way to make money: by selling her breast milk online.
Rebecca Hudson, only 26 years old, is selling her breast milk for $20 per five ounce bottle and she's raked in a total of $4750 so far. That could make for a really nice Christmas.
I've heard of this before, using other women's breast milk is actually a thing. A former colleague of mine had to stop breast feeding because she started taking medication for a medical condition; until her daughter was ready for whole milk, she used breast milk from a friend of hers.
While I think it's a good gesture and I understand the benefits of breast milk, selling or even sharing your breast milk can't be a good idea. It's not regulated by the FDA, in fact, it's not regulated at all.
How far would you go to ensure that your child had a memorable Christmas?
