Must-Try Illinois Seafood Shack Makes American Bucket List

The article says they "once fed hungry day laborers from the city's once-thriving steel industry." It is "one of the only smokehouses left in Chicago that smokes fish naturally over a wood fire."
Cheapism says you should try the pepper and garlic smoked salmon or fried smelts if you order from Calumet Fisheries.
REVIEWS OF CALUMET FISHERIES
The internet agrees, too. Lewis H. called the smoked pepper and garlic salmon "the best," while Kurt L. remarked it was "awesome."
Howard L. said the pepper and garlic salmon was "delicious and fresh" but did mention "they weren't the most deeply smoked fish we've ever had, but good enough."
You know Calumet Fisheries has the buzz; now try some delicious smoked fish in person at 3259 East 95th Street in Chicago.
Calumet Fisheries has been around for about 80 years. Below are restaurants that are super new to the Chicago area.
