What started in 1996 as Chris Festa’s casual gathering for a few dozen friends has snowballed into an epic event that’s welcomed over 250,000 festive crawlers through the years. From 10 AM to 8 PM, you’ll join a literal sea of holiday revelers parading down Clark Street, bouncing between iconic bars like Old Crow, Sluggers, Cubby Bear, and Merkle’s. Add in costumes ranging from Santa to reindeer to a guy dressed as a holiday tree with working lights, and you’ve got yourself a day to remember—or not, depending on how many drink specials you enjoy.

Tips for First-Time Crawlers
