World’s Largest Playable Guitar Is Located In Illinois

Illinois is home to the world's largest playable guitar.

I'm a big fan of roadside attractions. Some people consider them tourist traps but I find them entertaining. For example, give me something like the Bronze Fonz in Milwaukee and I'm all in. I'm also all about the electric guitar. It's my favorite instrument by far. That's why I love Classic Rock. There are so many legendary players like Eddie Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix.

If somehow we could combine the two, that would be amazing. Maybe something like the world's largest guitar. That's got a road trip written all over it. Wait a second, I think my dream has become a reality. Plus, it's located right here in Illinois.

Down in Peoria, Illinois, there's a place called the Peoria Riverfront Museum. They currently have a temporary exhibit called "Guitar: The Instrument That Rocked The World." It's going on now through January 10th. That sounds like my kind of adventure.

I want to rock out on that thing.

I've always enjoyed hanging out in Peoria. Sounds like I need to schedule a visit in the near future.
