Two new flicks this weekend in Rockford that you might go to see regardless of the plot or quality. I'll explain.

"Guardians of the Galaxy" has owned 2014, and is the highest grossing movie of the year. It has also beaten out box office competitors almost weekly since it's release.

Is there anything that can knock 'Guardians' out of the top spot?

Maybe it's the new Idris Elba movie? If you ask my wife what "No Good Deed" is about, and she'd more than likely say "It doesn't matter, Idris Elba is in it."

Perhaps it's the new Harry Connick Jr. movie? If you asked my wife what "Dolphin Tale 2" is about she'd probably say "A dolphin and Harry Connick Jr. is in it."

Could either of these be the new #1 of the week?

"NO GOOD DEED"

Rated PG-13, 84 minutes

What I think it's about: It looks like some sort of home invasion thriller. My guess is the bad guy gets killed with a weapon that is introduced early on in the movie.

"DOLPHIN TALE 2"

Rated PG, 107 minutes

What I think it's about: The story centers around a dolphin. Harry Connick makes women swoon and guys feel bad about how un-charming they are.
