15 Bad Ass Pro Wrestlers From Illinois, WWE is Coming to Rockford

With the announcement of WWE returning to Rockford, on December 18th at the BMO Harris Bank Center, I thought we would look at some "homegrown" talent. There are some huge names, some legends, and some that show up in the "whatever happened to" category.

So let's look into these local ass kickers...First off there's Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Not the butt kicking type, but when it comes to pro wrestling managers and someone that OWNED the microphone, there is only one Bobby Heenan.

Otunga lives in Rockford, K.C. James (former Smackdown tag champ) is from Belvidere, George went to Jefferson, Mustafa and CM Punk were trained by the same guy I did work for YEARS ago.

The Illinois talent is incredible! Of course as WWE/WWF fans know, the Road Warriors are Chicago strong. Colt Cobana owns a rad t-shirt shop in Chicago and you will see him on billboards all over the city.

The Chicago area has an incredible independent scene. There are a handful of trainers and schools, run by former WWE Stars throughout Chicago and in the burbs.
