With gas prices skyrocketing lately, we asked Rockford residents how they're planning on getting to work without getting behind the wheel.  The responses may.. shock you!

I've seen all the memes online of everybody riding horses to work to save money on gas.  It may be cool looking, but when it's negative degrees outside you probably wouldn't be having a great time. Also, do you really want to clean up horse poop? Nah.

After taking it to Facebook, many Rockford residents gave their ideas on some fun ways they could ((possibly)) make it to work without taking a car and wasting gas that costs an arm and a leg to get.

This one is pretty good, a magic carpet does sound nice right about now.

I have a feeling a hot air balloon would cost wayyyy more to operate, but it would be a really fun ride!

Wait... if it's snowing and you don't want to waste gas, this is actually a clever idea.  I think I'd still ride a sled to work even if there's no snow.

I wish I wasn't writing this at all, but these gas prices just keep going up by the second.  It sucks, and I hope prices drop sooner than later, the world would be a much happier place!
