25 Days of Desserts: Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars [RECIPE]
You can grab a few peanut butter cups for Christmas, but you can do better than that, can't you? Make these instead!
Not only are these peanut butter bars covered in chocolate, but they're also gluten free so that means they are the perfect gift or dessert for your GF friends and family.
They were also super easy. I got the recipe from the Food Network Magazine.
Gluten-Free Peanut Butter-Chocolate Bars
Beat 3 cups creamy peanut butter with 2 cups sugar, 3 eggs, 2 teaspoons vanilla and 1 teaspoon salt until smooth.
Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes.
Pour 1/2 cup warmed heavy cream over 6 ounces chopped semisweet chocolate, 1 tablespoon butter and a pinch of salt; whisk until smooth. Spread over the cooled bars. Chill until set.
I actually did the top chocolate layer twice, because there can never be enough chocolate.
