Last week Rockford's mayor, Tom McNamara, announced a declaration to designate June as Pride Month in Rockford. Mayor Mac also announced family-friendly festivals centered around the celebration. To go with the special month, landmarks and buildings will light up in rainbow colors.

Beginning Saturday (June 1, 2019) five different areas of downtown Rockford will illuminate in rainbow colors in celebration of Pride Month. Those five spots, according to The Office Nightclub are, City Hall. Morgan Street Bridge, Main Street, Prairie Street Brewhouse, and Nicholas Conservatory & Gardens.

Pride Month in Rockford begins June 1, 2019.
