Living in the Midwest just hits different, especially when you compare it to all-sunny states.  Down south, people kinda know what to expect weather-wise, but in Illinois that's a whole different story.

The last few weeks, temps have been all over the place!  High 80s, low 50s, sunny, cloudy, breezy, and everything in-between.  We really don't know what's going to happen day-to-day until we wake up!

I'm forever putting on shorts, then pulling out a hoodie, grabbing an extra layer in the morning and changing to a t-shirt in the afternoon.  It's rough out here in Rockford, no doubt.  But when temps do drop, we all start getting in a certain mood.  It's bound to happen.

At the end of the day, it's just life as we know it here.  We may never know how long fall or winter will be around, but we make sure to take advantage of every second that we get with these seasons.  To be honest, fall is my favorite season.  Most people would say summer, but fall gives you a chance to change up your style, get all cozy without sweating in your clothes, and go on hikes to see the beautiful fall foliage.  Just sayin', it's the best time of year that's almost here!
