8 Dive Bars to Take Dad for Father’s Day
For Mother's Day, I put together a list of the 9 Best Places to Get Your Mom Drunk for Mother's Day, so I only thought it would be appropriate to put together a similar list for dad.
Let's be honest, your dad probably isn't the brunch kind of guy; if you ask my boyfriend, he'll tell you that brunch isn't even a real thing- it's just something that women made up as an excuse to drink mimosas in the middle of the day- which is why you're going to either bring your dad to one of these places, or suggest that he go to one of Rockford's best dive bars to celebrate Father's Day.
- 1
Latham West
4213 W State St, Rockford
Latham West is a personal fave; the food is amazing, the drinks are strong and cheap; and the people watching never disappoints.
- 2
Rock-A-Bago
4303 W State St
Had enough of Latham West? Just head next door to Rock-a-Bago Hall & Mama C's. The perfect dive that's never too busy so service is always outstanding, the drinks are stiff and a great place for live music.

The Old Still
2610 Kilburn Ave
Did I mention that this list was not in order, if it was, then the Old Still would be #1 as far as being the best dive bar in Rockford. It looks shady on the outside, but the people on the inside truly make the place awesome. It's a true Rockford original.

J Bears
