A Dad Gets Arrested After Throwing His Teen Daughter An Epic Party

Consider this a lesson in what not to do as a parent.

Every parent wants to be the cool parent; it's something I personally struggle with because I'm a young mom with a teenage son. But, there's a fine line with being your child's best friend and being a responsible grown up.

Perhaps cool dad, Jeff Lake; who just happens to be an attorney,  doesn't know where that line is. I'm sure his intentions were good, but throwing a Playboy themed birthday party for your eighteen year old daughter crossed that line.

Lake was arrested for violating the "social host" ordinance of Poway, California, which prohibits anyone to throw parties providing alcohol to minors. When deputies came to break up the party of about 150-200 people, they found teens dressed in lingerie and wearing bunny ears, and "two boys unconscious."

Something tells me this is going to play out just like you'd expect, sure the charge comes with a sixth month sentence but he'll probably call a lawyer buddy and walk away with a slap on the wrist...and maybe some furry handcuffs.
