Friday nights are pizza, popcorn and movie night in my house. It is something my kids look forward to all week long, and one of the movies we watched two weeks ago was 'Ferdinand'. My kids LOVE this movie, (Mommy does too), and I know they will lose it when I tell them we can go watch it soon at one of their other favorite things, Lockwood Park.

In a continued effort to provide safe, family fun in the midst of this pandemic, the Rockford Park District has announced a new event called 'Flix On The Farm' that will kick off Friday, February 26, 2021 at Lockwood Park on Safford Rd. in Rockford.

This drive-in movie night will start at 6 p.m. next Friday night at Lockwood Park with the feature presentation of 'Ferdinand'. The movie will play on a  big screen they are setting up, and sound will be transmitted through your car's radio. The cost is $12 per vehicle, and tickets MUST be purchased in advance which you can do now, here.

Gates will open at 5 p.m. next Friday, so be sure to arrive early to get the best spot!

One last thing about the movie 'Ferdinand', besides that it has a great message for kiddos, is that John Cena provides the voice of Ferdinand, and for some reason I was blown away when I learned that. Peyton Manning voices one of the characters too, and I'm sure you'll figure out which one it is right away!

Enjoy the movie, and I'm sure I'll see you there!
