Green Bay Quarterback Aaron Rodgers: Confirmed Drug Guy
Aaron Rodgers, while on a podcast, gave credit for his recent back-to-back MVP awards to doing ayahuasca.
For those that aren't up on their drug culture, ayahuasca is a psychoactive tea that contains the hallucinogenic drug DMT. The tea has been used for literally thousands of years in Central and South America for spiritual and traditional healing.
Here's one quick video about what ayahuasca can potentially do for you.
And a much longer one if this is something you're interested in.
If you've been following Aaron Rodgers at all through his career, you could probably tell that something was different about the future Hall of Famer over the last few years.
First of all he grew his hair out, that doesn't mean you're always into psychedelics but it is definitely a sign. Then he began a relationship with Shailene Woodley, a "free soul" so to speak, and I'm pretty sure she introduced Rodgers to some things.
One of those things might very well have been ayahuasca, and Aaron seems to be very pleased about it. Take a listen to him discuss it.
Personally, I'm happy for Rodgers. It truly seems like he found a considerable amount of growth and peace during his psychedelic trip.
My big question is how the NFL will respond to this. Ayahuasca is illegal in the United States and is classified as a Schedule 1 drug, the same as heroin.
Will Rodgers receive any type of punishment for this? Will Joe Buck, Al Michaels, or whoever else is announcing a Packers game be allowed to comment about it on national television?
We'll have to wait and see but it looks like Rodgers is in a better place than he's ever been.
Something to think about.
