Abandoned Toboggan Slide In Chicago Makes Us Wish We Had One In Rockford

I've never been much of a snow sledder growing up. The mixture of snow and cold never did much for me.

However, it might have been because I didn't have a massive toboggan slide in my backyard.

First, it looks like something straight out of the Olympics, and second appears to be a real easy way to get hurt.

Reports say the pictured toboggan slide is in Palos Heights, two hours or so from Rockford located in Chicago's south suburbs.

Unfortunately, it appears the slides were taken out in 2008 and it's now just a massive sledding hill.

Do we have anything like this in Rockford? I mean, you know I'm not a fan of snow and cold but if we have a hill this size in town, I'll make an exception.
