How to Audition for American Idol From Home

Remember when the thought of joining a reality singing competition meant driving to a major city and standing in line for hours?

That was then, and this is now. If you think you've got what it takes to be the next American Idol, singers in Rockford and every other city and town in Illinois will get their chance on Tuesday, September 1.

Virtual Auditions: Face-to-Face with Producers on Zoom

Idol Across America is bringing the auditions to Illinois, but that doesn't mean you need to drive to Chicago to get it done; auditions will be held virtually on Zoom.

Contestants will audition face-to-face with an American Idol producer and receive real-time feedback. American Idol will be doing a nationwide virtual search across all 50 states, including Washington, D.C.

The Golden Ticket: Your Chance to Make the Next Season

If you make it through the process, you'll get a chance to compete on the upcoming season of American Idol.
