Girl Scout Cookie season is now year-round if the reports are true.

Taste of Home says you can buy "copycat Girl Scout Cookies at Aldi" and apparently you can do that at Aldi in Rockford too.

Under the brand name Benton’s, shoppers can find three of the best Girl Scout cookie-inspired flavors—Thin Mints, Tagalongs and Samoas.

Thin Mints, for real? I wonder how similar Benton's version, named Fudge Mint, tastes in comparison? Probably no substitute for the real thing, but what are you gonna do when you've gone through your last box of Thin Mints?

Up until recently, it was "wait until next year." Now, it's go to Aldi and pick up a box of Benton's. Even better, you'll get hit with that sweet low Aldi price, where "You can snag a 10-ounce package of 52 Fudge Mint cookies right now for $1.48." according to Taste of Home.

There are four Aldi stores in Rockford with another located in Machesney Park.

One last thing, if you plan on picking up a box or two or ten of Benton's Fudge Mint Cookies, Taste of Home says they are only available "part of the year."
