Or maybe you and your husband or wife are a 'DINK?' IMHO, we should probably all learn these acronyms.

A few years ago I tried to steer clear of abbreviating words for no reason. I wasn't a fan of "totes" or "adorbs." I tried my best to cling to the English language I grew up learning.

Then I pretty much just gave in. Whatevs, yo. I'm saving my syllables.

This morning, my awesome boss sent me an email with a list of hilarious acronyms from the Skimm, most of which I've never heard before, and that's when I realized I'm both a 'NARP' and a 'SINK.'

I know, right now you're thinking, "ugh. TFW Michelle types acronyms and you don't know what she's saying..."

Well, feat not, you can learn what these silly but awesome acronyms mean with this list. A few are NSFW, but you should be able to handle them.

These are my favorites:

DINK: Dual income no kids. As in you’re in a relationship minus kids, plus some extra cash. Unlike single friends aka SINK.

HENRY: High earner not rich yet. As in ‘cue the violins.’

NARP: Non-athletic regular person. As in you played tennis in high school, haven't picked up a racket since, and have a tendency to drop things.

AFAIK: As far as I know. As in AFAIK this acronym is also probably an expletive in a foreign language.

DFMO: Dance floor make out. As in file this under ‘college.’"
