The Illinois State Police are trying a new tactic to prevent drunk driving.

According to WREX, the Illinois State Police is trying something new in hopes to bring down the drunk driving number in Illinois, posting the names of arrested individuals.

WREX quoted Illinois State Police Lieutenant Carl Heintz saying that posting these names is part of the police force continuing "with our campaign to free the motoring public from the threat of impaired drivers."

Local individuals who were arrested and charge with a DUI offense in April have been posted on WREX's website and the list is as follows:
