Belvidere Hosting Drive-In Movie Night Every Weekend in September

Many of our favorite fall traditions and events have been canceled this year, or they are happening very differently, but that doesn't mean the fun has to end.

Families just need to get inventive and find new, socially-distanced traditions to enjoy, and I think these drive-in movie nights in Belvidere are a perfect way to fill the void in your social calendar!

Every Friday throughout the month of September, the Belvidere Park District will be holding drive-in movie nights at the new Sundstrand Park on Newburg Road, and the movie lineup is fabulous...

If you checked out the first drive-in movie nights that the Belvidere Park District hosted back in July, and you had problems hearing the movie audio on the designated station frequency or speakers, it looks like they've made some changes to amp up your enjoyment...

Back in July local food trucks were also on hand during the drive-in movie nights, so my fingers are crossed that this will happen this go-round too.

If you plan on taking the family to Sundstrand Park this Friday night to see Cars, don't forget to get there early! Gates will open at 6:45 p.m. with the movie starting at 8 p.m. There's no doubt that spots will fill fast on a holiday weekend, and you CANNOT buy tickets in advance!
