I Think I Found The Best Matcha Right Here In Rockford

I fear I've become a matcha person, and I'm totally okay with it.

I think I found the best matcha in Rockford.  And yes, I realize that is a very bold statement coming from someone who has recently been on an absolute matcha high.

If there's a matcha on the menu, I'm getting it.

What is matcha?

Coffee and tea aren't drinks I really drink on the daily, but matcha has literally become part of my morning routine, shameless to say.  I've even started keeping a list of all the places people recommended to me around town (because apparently this is the latest trend in Rockford).

Over the weekend, I was having brunch at The Norwegian when I saw they had a couple options of Matcha on the menu!  The regular Matcha Latte and a raspberry matcha.  Now, I'm not really a raspberry-flavored-anything person, so I went with the OG.

And let me tell you.... WOW.

It was so good.  Earthy, smooth and not overwhelmingly "matcha-y," if that makes sense.  The flavor was there, but it wasn't too strong or bitter.  It also had a hint of sweetness, which, for me, was exactly how I liked it!

I've tried a few different matcha drinks around Rockford, and this one is definitely high on my list right now.
