Illinois Retailers Need To Discount These On Black Friday
Black Friday deals start earlier and earlier every year. At some point, retailers need to realize they're discounting the wrong products. Here's what they really need to have deals on.
I've never been that shopper to stand in line the night before just to get the latest and greatest deals. If it's there when I arrive during regular store hours, it was meant to be. Especially if it's a gaming console or high-ticketed item.

When I worked at JcPenney at CherryVale Mall in Rockford, people didn't know how to act. Always rushing through the doors to get their hands on TVs, clothes, and random knick knacks they didn't actually need. FOMO is REAL during the holidays.
I've always said this: Why are electronics and toys always part of Black Friday deals, but groceries aren't? That's what we really want!
Why Don't Retailers Discount Groceries For Black Friday?
As much as I love impulse purchases, I'd rather it be something more essential, like groceries, toiletries, and anything that'll be useful for me every single day at home.
It's always been a mystery to me why groceries are never discounted. Especially with how the country is looking right now after the election, we might be paying a pretty penny on everything come next year! If you thought prices were already outrageous, just you wait.
As someone who still lives paycheck-to-paycheck and tries to find all the best deals so I'm not breaking the bank that I don't have already... discounted groceries would be nice on Black Friday. Just one day a year is all I ask!
