A local Rockford animal shelter is asking the public for generous donations that any animal shelter could benefit from this holiday season.

I was scrolling through Facebook over the weekend and saw a post from Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary in Rockford.  I felt like I couldn't gatekeep this and had to share it with you!

They’re urgently asking for donations of large blankets and bath towels—new or gently used—for their furry residents.

Honestly, it’s such an easy and affordable way to give back to our community, and it made me stop and think about how many towels and blankets I have lying around at home that I’m not even using anymore.

Surprisingly, I did some fall/winter cleaning the past few days and found so many blankets that've been sitting in storage not being used.  Of course, I'm taking them to Noah's Ark right away!

If you’ve got any blankets or towels that don’t quite fit your home’s vibe anymore, or ones you’re thinking about tossing because you just don’t need them, consider donating them to a local animal shelter instead! It’s such a simple way to help.

These can provide comfort, warmth, and a little extra TLC to shelter animals while they wait for their furever homes.
