4 Kittens, 1 Cat Abandoned at Rockford Animal Shelter

This week, an animal shelter in Rockford is asking the public to help identify a woman who abandoned 4 cats outside their shelter. Do you know who this is?

I'll truly never understand how people can abandon animals they either can't afford to take care of or don't want anymore. Every time I see this happen, it makes me so sad because these animals are relying on us to keep them safe!

What shocked me the most was how the kittens were abandoned. They weren't just in a box together, there were boxes stacked on top of each other, sealed, and looked like donations for the shelter. Luckily, their staff found the kittens and cat a few minutes after they were abandoned, but they were still in distress, and the boxes were getting hot.

Inside? 4 kittens and 1 adult cat. They were left to survive on their own in the heat! The good news is that Noah's Ark is taking good care of them, but they're now asking the public to help identify the woman who abandoned them. They shared photos on Facebook, so if you know who she is don't hesitate to contact the shelter immediately.

If you can no longer care for your pets, please surrender them in a legal manner. It is a crime to abandon pets at an animal shelter without going through the proper procedures. The way these poor babies were left in sealed boxes was a horrible way to surrender them. Makes me furious!
