Brett Kavanaugh + Christine Blasey Ford’s Hearing: Celebrities React On Twitter
Brett Kavanaugh's Senate hearings proceeded Thursday (September 27) at the United States Supreme Court, just days after Dr. Christine Blasey Ford agreed to testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee this past Sunday (September 23).
In her declaration, Ford alleged Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her in the summer of 1982 when they were teenagers, an incident which the 51-year-old detailed in great length to The Washington Post on September 16. "I thought he might inadvertently kill me," she described in her account. "He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing."
Ford's strength to speak publicly about her accusations have encouraged two other women to come forward about the judge's reported accounts of sexual misconduct earlier this week: Julie Swetnick and Deborah Ramirez.
Naturally, the world is keeping their eyes on the live-streamed event, and as the hearing continues, even celebrities are sounding off their thoughts from the digital mountaintops of social media.
