It's one thing to rent out a movie theater because you can, but it's completely another when ask your parents to help you buy tickets to a screening of a movie so you can collect toys for the less fortunate. That's what 17-year-old Alex Hout did. When he found out that Star Wars: The Force Awakens was opening in theaters a week before Christmas, he created a Facebook page, inviting his close friends and classmates to get their first glimpse of the latest chapter in the Star Wars saga. But instead of charging for tickets, he asked them to bring a donation for toys instead.

With help from his brother and parents, he was able to come up with $1200- enough to buy 97 tickets for a 7p.m. showing at his local movie theater.
