Carlson Ice Arena is giving Stateline families a fun, festive way to ring in the New Year early.. and without staying up until midnight.

On Wednesday, December 31, 2025, the Rockford Park District’s Carlson Ice Arena, located at 4150 N. Perryville Road in Loves Park, will host a special Noon Year’s Eve Party from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The indoor celebration is designed for families looking for an active, kid-friendly way to celebrate the holiday during the day.

The highlight of the event is a New Year’s countdown and balloon drop happening right at noon. Families can enjoy the excitement of ringing in the New Year without the late night, making it a perfect option for parents, grandparents, and younger kids.

Ice Skating and Sapora Playworld Fun

Guests can take part in a Skate and Play Special for $13 per person. The admission includes public ice skating, skate rental, and access to Sapora Playworld. The indoor play area features multi-level soft play structures and is designed for children ages 12 and under.

Music, Balloons, and Party Extras

The party atmosphere continues with music provided by a DJ, party favors, and balloon entertainment by Daniel Balloons. Food specials will also be available at the concession stand throughout the event.

For those who just want to hit the ice, skating-only admission is available for $10, which includes skate rental. Discount coupons will not be accepted for this special event.
