CDC and FDA Say Stop Giving Your Dog Pig Ears

My St. Bernards love them some pig ears, so this news isn't good. A salmonella outbreak has caused a recall in over 30 states.

The CDC and the FDA are warning not to give the smoked treats to your dogs.

While the government cares about your pet, this recall is really more about pet owners. The agencies mentioned above are more concerned with humans and cross-contamination from the pig ears.

127 people have gotten sick and 26 have been hospitalized as the outbreak continues to grow, according to usatoday.com.

Iowa, New York and Michigan have seen the most illness.
