The Chairman of the Bears, George McCaskey, shut down any idea of changing the name of the city where they play or the name of the team with this

We will be the Chicago Bears whether we're in Arlington or whether we're in Hammond.

Hammond Stadium Focus: Bears Shift Attention Outside Illinois

This comes on the heels of news that the Bears say their stadium efforts are focused on Hammond, Indiana, with Team President Kevin Warren saying the Bears do not have an offer from the state of Illinois and adding that communication between the two parties has been "minimal."

As a long-suffering Bears fan, I feel most would agree it would be nice to just get on with it then. Pick the spot where you're going to play and let's go.

Locked into Soldier Field: What Ahead Before The Lease Expires?

Here's one thing to keep in mind, and to be honest, it kind of made me stop for a second: the Bears will be playing in Soldier Field for some time still. Their current lease is set to expire in 2033.
