For those about to croc, we refute you. No, seriously, if you love those easy to slip on, rubbery clogs; you're going to find this to be a total croc. Have you had enough of the horrible puns about Crocs yet? Fair enough.

Look, I've got some bad news for those of you who love wearing Crocs; they're more than just bad for your social life; they're officially bad for your health.

Don't kill the messenger; I actually think they're kind of cute on your toddler and they look great with a garden hoe and watering can but that's just not as important as your well being.

According to USA Today and Megan Leahy, a podiatrist with the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, the "Swiss cheese like casual footwear" do not support your heel, and it can lead to foot pain, tendonitis, nail problems, corns, or even deformed toes. Deformed toes? And you thought people looked at you funny for wearing Crocs; no one wants to look at your deformed toes.

Leahy says that the clogs are ok to use in spurts, like when you go to the beach or Magic Waters, but try not to wear them for a long period of time like when you're going for a walk...or a first date.
