Chicago’s “Artopia” is Totally Instagrammable & Has Whimsical Drinks
So this past weekend my boyfriend planned a surprise date for us. Spoiler alert - he totally killed it.
I mean, who wouldn't want a date night that looked like this?
He said that we were going to an art exhibit in Chicago. But this wasn't just any art exhibit. This was one of the coolest experiences I've been to in years. From lights, to sound, to complete sensory immersion, this place was truly an all immersive art experience.
It's called "Artopia" in Chicago. Not only was the entire exhibit awesome, the whimsical cocktails afterward made it even better.
The website describes the experience like this -
This unique experience, hosted in the gorgeous 32,000 square foot venue in Chicago's West Loop, invites you to step into the universe of large scale light art installations and sculpture work from some of the most talented street artists around the country. And last but not least, the tour ends at The Artopia Lounge, where VIP & Icon ticket holders can stay to enjoy drinks in the exhibit.
And let me tell you, the art was truly large scale, out of this world amazing. All of the exhibits also make for the COOLEST Instagram photos.
Then there's the drinks. Let me just tell you some of these drinks they offer.
- Picasso's Blue Period: Vodka, Blue Curacaco, Fresh Lemon
- The Art Thief: Whiskey, Ginger Beer, Fresh Lime, Orange Bitters
- Pantone 7443: Beefeater Gin, Lavender Syrup, Fresh Lemon, Soda
- Titled Horizon Line: Tequila, Fresh Grapefruit, Fresh Lime, Soda
- The Glass Pyramid: Cuvee Brut, Rock Candy, Edible Glitter
- Surreal Spritz: Prosecco, Aperol, Spritz
My boyfriend and I got the Art Thief, and of course I had to get the one with rock candy and edible glitter.
So here's a little photo journey of our time at "Artopia" -
And now for the amazing drinks ...
Needless to say, you should totally check this out for a date night. You can get tickets and all the info you need here.
