When I was pregnant with my second daughter I remember reading about Chick-fil-A offering free food to new moms, but I was too busy worrying about keeping two kids alive instead of just one to take advantage of it. Thankfully, Mercyhealth just made it a whole lot easier for new moms to get free food without going through the legwork to get it.

According to WIFR, Mercyhealth and Chick-fil-A have teamed up to provide free food to new moms in the Stateline, and I'm not talking about the food they get during their hospital stay.  WIFR reports;

When a patient is discharged from the mom baby unit or NICU at Javon Bea Hospital- Riverside Campus, nurses will give them a brochure with three Chick-fil-A gift cards.

New mothers will also receive a small catering tray and two Chick-fil-A sides. They can redeem the gift cards by going to the restaurant or through the drive thru at 280 N. Perryville Rd.

If you're pregnant and have wonderful friends and family that are currently working on organizing a meal train for you after baby comes, totally take them up on it, just tell them to wait a few days after you return home to start it. You'll have plenty of fried chicken goodness to enjoy the first few days home from the hospital.
